We are delighted to announce our 2nd Annual LW4W Health and Wellbeing Day which will take place on Saturday, 14 November at Bicton College. There’ll be a slightly different focus this time – with some belly dancing and pilates, lots of therapies and pampering, and throughout the day a Clothes Swap for everyone to join in. Check out the results of our 1st annual fundraising event last November and see the Photo Gallery.
Our goal is to raise £2000 (or more if we can) for FORCE,, a local and incredibly supportive charity for those with cancer. Some of FORCE’s therapists will be helping us on the day. All therapists, speakers, workshop deliverers and retailers are giving their time willingly and at no cost to help us achieve our objective. So please come and support this very worthy cause while giving yourself the pleasure of some pampering, retail therapy, learning, exercise and most of all, FUN, supporting and in the company of like-minded women from Devon. Booked therapies include facial mapping, back massage, reiki, reflexology, hypnotherapy and many more. On the day, there will be makeovers on offer; or you can have a manicure, hair cut or Indian Head Massage provided by the students of Exeter College. The cost of the day, including exercise classes, a therapy taster session, workshop, lunch and refreshments is £35.
We’ve planned four really interesting workshops for you, details available via the Mini Workshop link.
- Give that Little Black Dress a makeover
- Re-styling: Get Creative with your Old Clothes!
- Christmas centrepiece and Christmas wreath, and
- Finding Your Voice – building confidence
We’re really excited to have attracted a rather well known speaker and life coach from the States. Talane Miedaner who will be telling us how to End Emotional Eating and Stop Self-Sabotage by Satisfying our Personal and Emotional Needs. Before lunch of course!
We’ve chosen Bicton College as our venue this year, as last year was a bit cosy and we wanted to spread out a bit. These beautiful grounds will be available to us for walking (and even some running for those who are more energetic) during the day. Let’s hope that with the amount of rain we had this summer we might be in for a heatwave come November! Lunch will be served in the restaurant – lots of lovely locally sourced food from the Bicton Farm.
Check out the various links on the left hand side for the activities planned. We will be taking registrations from 22 September. For any further information contact us via the Contact Us form. Don’t leave it too long as last year’s event, as some of you will know, was sold out three weeks in advance!
See you in November.

Debbi, Sarah and Fiona (the newbies!)
