About the Organisers

We're three women who met through work (and play) and share some common interests – food, health, exercise, volleyball and wine! All in balance of course. On 21 November last year we organised our 1st LW4W Health and Wellbeing Day at Escot to raise money for FORCE and we had such a great time meeting like-minded women, trying out some therapies, doing our Christmas shopping and talking to experts in various health fields that we’ve decided to host another one!

It’s quite a lot of work as you can imagine so we’ve roped in three more willing victims to ease the way – thank you Sarah, Debbie and Fiona – we appreciate all the help you have given us and hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Heather Eardley

I have been living in Devon for 17 years having moved from Berkshire and working for the local authority and NHS. 18months ago I took the plunge and became self-employed and am now working as a freelance management consultant and recently qualified as a nutritional therapist. I love the variety, challenge and flexibility which these two aspects of work provide and have learnt so much about the effect of stress and diet on our health. I know only too well the importance of work life balance having been a workaholic for too many years! I now play volley ball, love walking our dog Ollie and am learning to play the piano. A group of us are also walking the south west coastal path twice a year - and hope to get all the way round before we get too old! I'm really looking forward to the women's day which we've been trying to make as interesting and varied as possible so hope you enjoy it too! Natural Nutrional Therapy Brochure Heather

I met both Heather and Lea when they used to work at the RD&E. Lea and I found we both lived in Ottery St Mary and started to car share. Now we all play volleyball and go walking together and support each other through life’s ups and downs. My life is a constant juggling act, working full-time at the hospital in a very busy job while also caring for my elderly parents and teenage son at home. I have an abiding passion for food and cooking but try to fit in some healthy pursuits like salsa as well. Needless to say, I am looking forward to some relaxing therapies on 14 November! Gaynor
